Native
traditions, particularly Native American, and the
rich aesthetic and cultural heritage of the Middle
East, provide inspiration and stimulation for Efrat's
art. She primarily uses natural
and recycled objects collected in her wanderings in her neighborhood and
in the world. She loves combing beaches and forest
floors, frequents flea markets and thrift stores
wherever she goes. She believes in recycling objects
that have been around at least once, appreciating
their special patina.
Her "Talking Sticks", "Spirals
of Life" and “Inspirational
Jewelry” are created to promote self-empowerment
and transformation for individuals, families, groups and
communities. She creates customized works and conducts
workshops in classrooms, workplaces, and retreats.
